Problem:

Envelope Supply Chain and Mail Output Capacity were issues confronting our customer when trying to bring on new clients. Envelope manufacturers are only offering current customers last year’s allocations with long lead times. Additionally, customer would need additional output capacity to onboard new clients. They would require three additional folder/inserters to accommodate the capacity concerns.

Solution:

CTP Solutions Roll2Mail System (R2M). R2M requires NO envelope and prints an 8.5 x 11 page (2-wide) with a speed up to 80,000/hour and minimal downtime. R2M equipment integrates with Ricoh’s VC40000 inkjet presses Inline or Nearline. With the speed of finishing line keeping up with the press, customer was able to purchase ONE pressure seal machine in lieu of the three inserters and deliver for their clients. Additionally, CTP Solutions proposed converting 3-page documents into self-mailer by providing a 24” format that allows for 3 variable full color pages to be combined into one outgoing piece which allows for faster print to mail time with less human interaction.
